Known for his ability to play anything, and do it well, Vancouver’s DJ Neoteric has kept busy playing many of the best parties and the biggest clubs across North America and Internationally. His renown tracks and remixes have gotten support from the likes of as A-Trak, DJ AM, Diplo, Switch, Steve Aoki, The Rub, Dave Nada, Stretch Armstrong, Smalltown DJs, Annie Mac (BBC), and many others.
His group with prodigious producer U-Tern, Smoke & Mirrors, is the latest signing to Grammy-nominated Switch’s (M.I.A, Santogold) Dubsided Records, with an EP due in the coming months. Already in high demand, they’ve dropped a crushing remix of Tittsworth’s ‘WTF’ featuring Pase Rock and Kid Sister, available on Plant Records, and a forthcoming remix for Major Lazer (Diplo and Switch), among others with a focus on diverse and unique sounds, tailor made for the clubs. He is also the co-creator of the popular ‘White Light’ mix series.
Neoteric has headlined some of the biggest and hippest clubs in North America including DJ AM’s ‘Banana Split Sundays’ @ LAX, Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Tuesdays @ Cinespace, and Franki Chans ‘Still Fuckin Awesome’, Circa Nightclub in Toronto, Plush in Vancouver, plus many large festivals, such as the We Love Sounds Festival in Sydney, Australia, and Shambhala Music fest in BC. Neo’s shared the stage with the likes of M.I.A, Raekwon (Wu-Tang Clan), A-Trak, Cut Copy, Kool Herc, Fake Blood, Diplo, Simian Mobile Disco, The Presets, Jokers of the Scene, Surkin, Drop the Lime, Nadastrom, Top Billin, Friendly Fires, DJ Falcon, Devin the Dude, Masta Ace, and countless others!
His strengths lie with his great ear, high energy sets, flawless mixing, and ability to adapt to any situation. Whether it’s playing a fast-paced, party rock set to 1500 people, or playing the latest bangers to 200 sweaty kids in a dive bar, DJ Neoteric fits the bill.
